Cruise lines are tightening their rules on your safety.  At least 3 people since the beginning of the year have been removed from cruise ships for refusing to attend the mandatory safety drill held at the beginning of each cruise.

Virgin Atlantic announced that they will start allowing the use of cell phones on some of their flights.  But the usage comes with  many restrictions.  Such as only 6 people at a time, calls, email, and text messages will only be allowed for use in "exceptional situations".  Cell phones will still not be allowed to be used during take offs, landings, and withing 250 feet of US air space.  So for those of us who bore easily while on long flights, maybe this is a sign of what's to come!

River cruising is growing in popularity by leaps and bounds.  Avalon Waterways recently unveiled 2 new ships last week.
